CD Almuñecar City U23s midfielder Cole Fisher revealed he is "learning a lot" in Spain.
Born in Eersterust, the 21-year-old has been an important figure for Juanma Bullejos' Under 23s team so far this campaign.
The South African native admitted the beginning of the season was difficult for the team, though is confident they are on the right path.
"As a whole this season, the team have been playing well," he said.
"We are all from different parts of the world and have different knowledge and styles of football, which makes things difficult.
"We started off quite slowly but the team are beginning to come together as a group, and we are finding our rhythm.
"As a team, we are beginning to understand each other more and we are optimistic that we can climb up the table as we enter the second half of the season.
The South African revealed he is learning a lot in Spain, which he hopes will help him reach his goal of being a professional footballer.
"My time so far at FC Malaga City Academy has been great," he continued.
"I'm not just growing as a player, but as a person as well - which is important.
"I've learnt a lot here, and not just on the pitch.
"Being here teaches us life lessons too, and sometimes as a player it’s important that you go through certain phases early rather than later in your career.
"The difficult times only makes you stronger and better as a player - so I am very grateful .
"I believe in my ability and know I have the quality to play professional football.
"I am confident in what I do, and hope to play professionally - whether that is in Europe, or back home in South Africa."
