Malaysian midfielder Muhammad Aniq expressed his excitement ahead of FC Malaga City Academy's upcoming fixture against Atlético de Madrid next week.
#FCMC will be taking four teams to face the Spanish giants on the 30th and 31st March - at Ciudad Deportiva Atlético de Madrid.
The 19-year-old is into his second season with #FCMC, and revealed that the team have been working hard in preparation for the game.
“I feel very excited ahead of the game - because it's a huge opportunity for me and my teammates to be playing such a big team,” Aniq said.
“The whole team are just as excited as what I am - you can see that since this fixture has been announced everybody has upped their games, and everyone is working very hard.
The midfielder admitted that not only did he come to #FCMC to further his talent and ability, but he wanted to play in the big games against some of the biggest teams in Spain.
“Not only did I travel to Spain to become a better footballer, it's the opportunities like this that I’ve always looked forward to," he added.
“Playing in big matches is one of the major reasons why I decided to come to Spain and join FC Malaga City Academy.
“I hope that as a team we can do ourselves proud - and that I can perform well for all the people back home who have supported me.”
