Maltese midfielder Sasha Perić admitted there are “no excuses” for CD Almuñécar City U23s B not to pick up all three points against CF Graena.
After a poor run of recent form, #CDAC U23s B will be hoping to turn their fortunes around this weekend, when they travel to CF Graena.
“It’s never too good to be in the bottom half of the table, but given the players we have and the physicality we have, we should be doing better,” Perić admitted.
“I have faith that we will do better, undoubtedly. I do believe that we will pull together, because when we are in training, it always comes together.
“Transferring that into a match, we’re just struggling with that at the moment. I’ve no doubt in my mind that the team can achieve that.
“There’s a lot of good players in this team, and not only that, we are physically superior than a lot of teams in this league.
“There’s no excuses why we shouldn’t be winning. This Sunday we’re going in to win. We have set our minds on it, it’s three points for us.”
Perić, who has been a prominent part in the team, is now into the second half of the season with the club, and is hoping to continue his development on and off the field.
He said: “In terms of experiences, I’m just hoping for more game time. That’s all I’m really looking forward to because it’s just about getting more time on the pitch.
“I’m wanting to have good form both personally and as a team. As everyone has noticed, the style of football in the league is very different
“I want us to play our own game. I want us to get more wins, and to keep on rising as high as we can go in the table. We want to get as many points as possible. That’s all I really want for the team.”
